May Commitment to Service Award. This award honors the late Sam May, a custodian in the chemistry department who dutifully served the University for 30 years. Recipients of this award demonstrate exemplary characteristics and help make the Capstone a legendary place to work.

At the Fall 2022 Campus Assembly, Housing and Residential Communities (HRC) received this award for their hard work throughout the year, but specifically for their work during the summer. The HRC team worked tirelessly for weeks to ensure that their facilities and staff were ready to welcome the largest-ever freshman class. HRC’s commitment to excellence and innovation provides a smooth transition for students as they make their new home at the Capstone.

Congratulations to Housing and Residential Communities! The Division of Student Life is proud of the work you do and your commitment to excellence here at The University of Alabama. Learn more about UA’s Housing and Residential Communities on their website.
