    Awards and Recognition

    The Award Selection Committee requests your assistance in identifying outstanding employees in the Division of Student Affairs. We all know colleagues who serve students, their departments and the University by going above and beyond the call of duty in their jobs.

    Please nominate these outstanding people who will be recognized at the Student Affairs Divisional Meeting and Awards Breakfast on Thursday, April 7, 2016. Nominations are due Friday, March 11, 2016, by noon.

    Nominate An Outstanding Staff Member

    Candidates for awards may be nominated by anyone within the Division of Student Affairs and will be evaluated on the basis of the information submitted in the nomination form. Thoughtfully select the co-worker you think has done an outstanding job this year and submit your nominations by Friday, March 11, 2016 at noon.

    Student Affairs Divisional Awards

    Division of Student Affairs Mission Excellence Award

    The Division of Student Affairs Mission Excellence Award recognizes those staff who embody and exemplify the mission of maximizing student’s learning experiences through the focus of the strategic priorities established periodically. The recipient(s) of this award will reflect service leadership in promoting and enhancing strategic priorities to the enhancement of the campus community.

    Harry J. Knopke Award for Meritorious Service

    The Knopke Award is named for Dr. Harry J. Knopke, Vice President for Student Affairs from 1990 to 1997. This award is presented to Student Affairs outstanding non-exempt employees (clerical, technical, hourly employees, etc) whose service to all our constituents is of an exceptional nature.

    John L. “Jack” Baier Award for Meritorious Service

    The Baier Award is named for Dr. Jack Baier, former Vice President for Student Affairs. This award is presented to Student Affairs outstanding exempt employees (coordinator, assistant and associate directors, etc) whose service to all our constituents is of an exceptional nature.

    Outstanding Graduate Student Award

    This award is given to a Student Affairs graduate student whose service to all our constituents is of an exceptional nature.

    Sybil R. Todd Award for Excellence in Partnerships

    The Todd Award is named for Dr. Sybil Todd, Vice President for Student Affairs from 1998 to 2003. This award is presented to individuals or organizations outside of the Division of Student Affairs who have demonstrated excellence in partnership and whose service to all our constituents is of an exceptional nature.
