Hometown: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job title: Director, UA Crossroads

Alma Mater: The University of Alabama

I came to work at UA because… I wanted to continue my career teaching ethics and working with students on community engagement.

My favorite thing to do on campus is… to talk with students and colleagues about important issues while enjoying the campus energy and warm sun out by the fountain at the Ferg.

My favorite spot on campus is… midway up the steps of Gorgas looking out over the Quad.

Over the winter break, I plan to… sleep.

During my time at UA, I’m most proud of… being a part of the development of our Practicing Inclusive Excellence (PIE) Team and the diversity and inclusion workshops they offer.

The one UA experience I will always remember will be… when I arrived at the very first Blend night in the spring of 2014. I was convinced attendance would be low due to competing events and general apathy. Instead, I found Gorgas 205 full of diverse and engaged students. It taught me to always be more positive and hopeful!
