It’s no secret that many college students spend most of their time on campus stressed out. Balancing classes, tests, projects, extra-curricular activities and work is enough to make anyone feel overwhelmed, especially with final exams right around the corner. At the Counseling Center, our mission is to help UA students achieve academic success and personal growth through a variety of services. Stress Free Daze, the Counseling Center's signature outreach event, is a stress-zapping solution offered each semester around Study Week that seeks to refresh students and get their minds off the burden of the books. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, December 2 from 6p-10p in the Ferg. We will have numerous craft projects, guided mindfulness meditation, movies in the theater, tons of food and giveaways...all for free! Staff from the Counseling Center will also be present to provide information on how to help with test anxiety and stress. This event has always been a huge success in the past for students looking for a break from studying and an escape from stress.
